A few weeks had passed since Ranveer arrived in India. Every single day, he visited the Ranawat Palace. Every single day, he tried to get his sister to speak. Sometimes he pleaded. Sometimes he lost his temper and shouted at her. Sometimes he resorted to emotional blackmail. Nothing worked. Isha never uttered a word.
By the end of each visit, he inevitably found himself in Abhyansh's study. The two of them would pour themselves a drink. And strangely enough... that had become their routine. Ranveer still hated Abhyansh Singh Ranawat. That hadn't changed. Yet... he found himself enjoying the BEAST's company, even if the man barely spoke.
Over the past few weeks, he had tried countless times to uncover what had happened before Isha's marriage—what exactly had transpired between her and Kailash Rajput. No one told him anything. No one.
"What the hell is wrong with her?"
Ranveer muttered, absentmindedly rolling the paperweight across Abhyansh's desk as he sipped his whiskey. The movement caught the BEAST's attention.
"I've tortured her enough to make her lose herself in the pain, Rajput."
Abhyansh admitted it with unmistakable pride.
Ranveer's blood boiled.
"As much as I'd like to kill you right now, I can't." His voice remained steady. "I simply don't have the power." He met Abhyansh's gaze without flinching. "But I'd like to educate you on one thing, Mr. Ranawat. I know my sister. She's angry with me. For something I did. There's a piece of the puzzle I'm still missing. She would never punish one person for another's actions." A faint smile appeared on his lips. "And to be honest... You don't matter enough to her for her to stay angry with you."
"Why haven't I shot you already?" Abhyansh asked calmly.
"You like me, Mr. Ranawat." Ranveer shrugged. "If you kill me, who else is going to sit here and look you straight in the eye while talking to you? You'll go mad without having a proper conversation with someone."
A smirk tugged at Abhyansh's lips. He was actually in the mood to talk to his brother-in-law. What surprised him more... was how effortlessly he had accepted Ranveer as his brother-in-law. Yet... he still couldn't accept Ranveer's sister as his wife.
Just then, Ranveer's phone buzzed.
Vikram Calling.
"Excuse me. I need to take this."
Ranveer answered the call. Abhyansh quietly observed him. There was something refreshing about Ranveer. He never treated him like the Royal BEAST. Never cowered. Never measured his words. He simply treated him like another man. Oddly enough... Abhyansh liked that.
"Yes, Vikram. I'm in an important meeting. I'll call you back."
"Listen, Ran," Vikram said hurriedly. "The investors want a meeting. When are you coming back. And by the way... how's Isha? When are you bringing her here?"
Already irritated... Ranveer's patience snapped.
"Do one thing. Sell the company... then walk to the River Isis and drown yourself. As for me... We have plenty of rivers in India."
Abhyansh looked at him with mild surprise. The ever-composed Ranveer Rajput... losing his temper? Well, Ranveer wasn't exactly the composed type. Then again... compared to the BEAST... even a raging bull looked calm.
For years, the two men had crossed paths over business. Abhyansh wanted to acquire the Rajput palaces. Ranveer had refused every offer. Abhyansh could have taken them by force. Instead... he found himself enjoying the rivalry.
"What happened to you?" Vikram asked. "Is Isha unhappy in her marriage?"
"Isha is possessed." Ranveer rubbed his forehead in frustration. "I don't even recognize her anymore. And you're asking whether she's happy? What exactly did you expect me to say? That she's living a dream? That my brother-in-law worships the ground she walks on? That he treats her with so much respect and love he won't even let a mosquito bite her? If that's the answer you're expecting... You're an imbecile. He tortures her. And that's not even the worst part. She hasn't spoken a single word to me. You know her, Vik. My Ishu can't stay angry with me. She never could. But now..."
He closed his eyes briefly.
"...it's as if she's given up on me. I don't recognize her anymore. Every time she looks at me... there's nothing. Just a blank face. As though she doesn't even know who I am.
"Tell her why you couldn't come to see her all these months," Vikram suggested.
Kailash Rajput had made sure Ranveer wasn't even in a position to contact Isha... let alone travel to meet her.
"I would..." Ranveer sighed. "If she'd only listen. But anyway... Leave it. Schedule the investors' meeting online. I don't think I'll be leaving India anytime soon."
After receiving Vikram's confirmation, he disconnected the call. Abhyansh raised an eyebrow.
"Exactly how brave are you... to say all that shit about me while sitting in front of me?"
His voice remained cold. Surprisingly... he wasn't angry. If anything... he admired Ranveer's fearlessness.
"It's called confidence, Mr. Ranawat." Ranveer took another sip of whiskey. "And I don't think I need any special talent to speak the truth."
"If you had even a little sense..." Abhyansh said lazily, "You would more time finding out what actually happened to your sister. Especially considering how desperately you want her to speak to you."
Ranveer let out a dry chuckle.
"Taking relationship advice from an emotionless BEAST..." He shook his head. "...sounds absurd."
"I may be an emotionless BEAST." Abhyansh's smirk deepened. "But at least I'm not foolish enough to place my faith in relationships." His eyes remained fixed on Ranveer. "I always thought you were an intelligent man, Rajput. But seeing how deeply attached you are to your sister..." He took a slow sip of his whiskey. "...is beginning to make me question that judgment."
"What exactly do you know about my sister, Mr. Ranawat?" Ranveer asked sharply.
Despite the edge in his voice, the respect in his manner of addressing Abhyansh never disappeared.
"I don't have the time or the interest to know her, Rajput." Abhyansh's expression remained unreadable. "The only thing I know is that she's Amar Rajput's daughter." A cold smile tugged at his lips. "That's enough to nurture hatred for seven lifetimes. And if people are right about spouses being bound for seven births... your sister is going to enjoy that privilege every single time."
Ranveer clenched his jaw. Every instinct inside him screamed at him to smash that arrogant man's face. But he couldn't. Abhyansh glanced at the clock before rising from his chair.
Dinner.
Ranveer picked up the mouthwash from the bag he had long since left at the Ranawat Palace. These days, he spent more time there than at his own palace.
"Be late, and you don't eat, Rajput." Abhyansh walked towards the door. "Don't break the rules."
Ranveer silently cursed the BEAST.
"I won't be late, Mr. Ranawat." He smiled faintly. "My sister doesn't like it when I drink before dinner." A sad smile replaced it. "Actually... she doesn't like me drinking at all. But these days... She hasn't left me much of a choice."
He walked into the washroom to freshen up. Abhyansh remained standing where he was. Ranveer's words lingered in his mind. The man cared far too much for his sister. To Abhyansh, that was weakness. Emotions clouded judgment. They made people vulnerable. They deserved to be destroyed before they could grow stronger. Exactly the way he had crushed the softness that had surfaced within him after seeing his wife's smile.
Ranveer stepped out a minute later and found Abhyansh standing in the same place. Deep in thought.
"Well..." A teasing smile appeared on his face. "The Royal BEAST knows how to take care of his guests too?"
Abhyansh merely scoffed. He hadn't been waiting for Ranveer.
"How do I make her listen to me?" Ranveer asked sincerely as they walked towards the dining hall. "The moment she sees me, she walks away." He laughed bitterly. "Except during breakfast and dinner. So for those few minutes with my sister... I'm practically living in your palace."
He knew Abhyansh probably wouldn't respond. Still... it felt strangely comforting to speak to someone. Even if that someone barely acknowledged his existence.
"Talk to her after dinner." Ranveer stopped walking. "Mr. Ranawat..." He frowned. "I genuinely don't understand why people call you intelligent. I just told you she doesn't—"
"I'll make sure she listens." Abhyansh didn't slow his pace.
He simply continued walking. Ranveer remained rooted to the spot.
"You'll help me?" Ranveer's voice carried genuine surprise. "Why?"
Abhyansh gave no answer. Only when Ranveer almost gave up expecting one did he hear—
"I'm tired of your whining, Rajput."
They entered the dining hall. Everyone immediately rose to their feet. Abhyansh took his seat. The rest followed. Ranveer sat beside him, occupying the chair that had remained empty for years until his arrival. Isha silently served Abhyansh while the servants attended to everyone else.
Dinner began.
Ranveer wished he could eat beside his sister after everyone finished. Like they always had. But palace rules didn't allow it. Once again... he cursed his brother-in-law.
"Ishu..." He smiled at her. "This is delicious. I love your cooking. Bacha... Did you make the paneer yourself?"
He knew he wouldn't receive an answer.
"We make it here at home, beta," Amrita replied gently after waiting for Isha to respond. When no reply came, she answered on her behalf.
"Oh..." Ranveer smiled faintly. "Ishu always used to make paneer for me. She loves me a lot Mrs. Ranawat..." He looked at his sister. "Don't you, bacha?"
Every single time he had asked her that in the past... her answer had been immediate.
"Yes, Bhayyu... I love you."
Even in her sleep. He still remembered that night. She had been burning with fever. Barely conscious. He had spent the entire night beside her, trying desperately to bring her fever down. She hadn't responded to anything he said. Not once. Until...
"You love Bhai, don't you, Ishu?"
Almost unconscious...
she had whispered,
"Yes, Bhayyu... I love you."
That memory tightened around his heart. Today... she didn't even look at him.
She continued serving her husband as though her brother didn't exist. Ranveer's face slowly lost its colour. The memory of that feverish confession only made the silence before him more unbearable. Everyone at the table pitied him. Everyone... except the BEAST. To Abhyansh... Ranveer was simply a fool. A man foolish enough to love someone this deeply.
Only Isha knew the truth. She wanted to answer. She desperately wanted to. The words rose to her lips... only to die in her throat. No matter how hard she tried... they refused to come out. Unable to bear it any longer, Ranveer abruptly stood up. His eyes had filled with tears. He needed a moment to gather himself.
A flicker of worry crossed Isha's face. For the briefest second. Then... the familiar expressionless mask returned. The dining hall fell silent. No one dared leave the table before the king.
"Rajput." Abhyansh's warning echoed through the hall. The single word was enough to make everyone stiffen. Isha silently prayed for her brother. "Sit down." His voice was cold enough to freeze the room. "And finish your dinner."
Even Ranveer found himself intimidated. Without a word, he sat back down.
"And, Rajput..." Abhyansh looked at him steadily. "The next time you disregard my authority at my table... you'll never see your sister's face again."
Ranveer drew in a slow breath. Then quietly resumed his meal.
Seeing Abhyansh reprimand Ranveer, Pratap Singh Ranawat finally gathered enough courage to speak.
"Ma Sa," he said with a mocking smile, "I thought your grandson, King Abhyansh Singh Ranawat, had married a Rajput princess." He glanced at Ranveer. "I didn't know he married her brother too."
Everyone immediately understood the taunt. Pratap was mocking Ranveer for practically living at the Ranawat Palace.
Abhyansh slowly looked at his father.
"I've tolerated one useless man in this palace for years." His voice remained calm. "I need someone useful to balance it." He looked at Ranveer briefly. "So, I'm keeping Rajput around. Any problem?"
For a moment, Isha frowned. There were only two men in the palace besides her husband. Avyan... and Pratap Singh Ranawat. Abhyansh trusted Avyan with almost everything. Then... realization dawned on her. He was talking about his own father. Looking at Pratap's flushed face—burning with humiliation, anger, and shame—she knew she was right.
Her eyes widened. He insulted his father like that? While the family members had seen him insult his father countless times. But this... was different. Usually, he silenced him with nothing more than the authority of a king. Today... he had chosen sarcasm instead. Almost... as though he had answered on Ranveer's behalf.
Ranveer stared at Abhyansh in disbelief.
Did he really just say that to his own father?
Then he almost scoffed at himself.
What am I surprised about? He's a BEAST. He can say anything to anyone.
Abhyansh finished his dinner and rose. The rest of the family followed. Ranveer remained seated. Abhyansh knew exactly why.
"Come to my study." His eyes shifted to Isha.
She immediately nodded and hurried after him. Ranveer quickly followed. Isha let out a quiet sigh. She would have to remain in the same room as her brother again. These days, he was with the BEAST almost all the time. So much so that Abhyansh had even offered him a chamber in the palace if he wished to stay there permanently. She still couldn't understand it.
The BEAST had never tolerated anyone's presence. Never sided with anyone. Never entertained unnecessary conversations. Yet... her brother seemed to be the lone exception. The three entered the study. Ranveer took his usual seat opposite Abhyansh's desk.
Abhyansh settled into his throne-like chair. Isha quietly stood at the far end of the room with her head bowed.
"Orders, Maharaj?" Her voice remained devoid of emotion.
She wanted to leave as quickly as possible. The farther she stayed from her brother... the easier it was to suppress her emotions.
"Rajput." Abhyansh barely looked up from the file in his hand. "Talk."
Ranveer shot him an irritated glance. At least now... Isha couldn't leave. She would have to listen. Even if she chose to remain silent.
"Mr. Ranawat..." Ranveer spoke quietly. "Ask her to be my sister... just for half an hour." "Not your..." He swallowed hard. "...slave."
Abhyansh looked towards Isha.
"Do that."
The order had barely left his mouth when a tear escaped her eye. She hated this. She hated that her brother had to ask her husband for permission to speak to her. She hated that he had to acknowledge her as a slave to do it. But she also knew... she had left him with no other choice.
Before she could wipe away the tear... Ranveer gently brushed it away himself. He led her to the couch and made her sit. Then... instead of taking the seat opposite her... he lowered himself onto the carpet. On his knees. So that he was at her eye level.
He cupped her cheeks with both hands.
"Ishu..." His voice was gentle. "Listen to me with an open mind. I know you always have." A faint, broken smile crossed his lips. "But after these past few weeks... I'm not sure anymore. So please... Do this for me."
She remained silent.
"Answer me, Ishu." He smiled sadly. "Your husband ordered you to be my sister for the next half hour. So be my sister." He squeezed her hands gently. "Scold me. Hit me. Do whatever you want. But don't stay silent."
This time... she looked at him. And gave the slightest nod. For the first time in weeks... emotion flickered in her eyes. It should have comforted Ranveer. Instead... it broke his heart.
Those beautiful eyes that had always brought him peace... now held nothing but pain and quiet agony.
"Ishu..." Ranveer began, his voice weighed down by guilt. "I know you're angry, but at that time, I believed it was your decision. I know I should've come. I should've stopped your marriage. How could I let you go through all this?"
A weary sigh escaped him.
"Trust me... I'll never forgive myself for it. But I was angry too. For the first time in your life, you went against my word, Ishu. The very moment you did... I knew you were determined to marry The BEAST. I know how stubborn you are. Once you've made up your mind... even God can't change it. So I didn't come. Because I believed there was no point."
His gaze settled on hers.
"Try to see it from my side. I truly believed you had agreed to marry Mr. Ranawat for your freedom... simply because he had promised to let you work. But a few months ago... Balwant told me the truth. Father had forced you into this. He tricked you. I should've known," Ranveer said.
Isha looked at him, accusation written plainly in her eyes.
If you had known months ago... why didn't you come? Why didn't you contact me?
Ranveer didn't need her words. He had already read the question in her eyes.
"I wanted to, Ishu. Believe me... But Vik was kidnapped," he said, his jaw tightening.
"Vikram?" Isha whispered.
It was the first word she had spoken to him since asking,
"How do you want your coffee, sir?" on the day he had arrived.
This time... she hadn't spoken as a stranger. She had spoken as his sister. Abhyansh's hands curled into fists. What unsettled him wasn't that she had spoken... It was the name she had chosen to utter first.
She was his to hate. His to torture. His to possess.
Ranveer understood her concern.
Vikram and Isha had always shared a special bond. Every time Ranveer called her, Vikram would inevitably end up speaking to her as well. What they shared was unlike ordinary friendship... It was built on unwavering respect and quiet affection.
"Father had him kidnapped. I received a message saying that if I left London, they would kill Vikram. So I stayed. I had to rescue him. My men here kept assuring me you were fine. You were working. You looked fine. So... I stayed. It took me months to rescue Vikram while managing the company on my own. The directors, investors... They were a battle of their own. I wanted to call you. But I received another message warning me not to contact you either."
Ranveer laid everything bare before her. Isha's heart ached for her brother. He had endured far more than she had imagined because of her. Yet, it did little to soothe the wound she carried within. He hadn't come to stop her wedding. No one had stopped him then... Had it really been nothing more than his anger over her refusing him... that made him give up on her?
"Is there anything you have to say?" Isha asked quietly.
Hearing her speak like herself, however briefly, eased something inside Ranveer. She hadn't become that lifeless shell again.
"Ishu..." Ranveer cupped her face gently. "Are you still angry? What's wrong, bacha? Is there something you want to tell me?"
"No use now," she replied, gently removing his hands before rising to her feet.
"Ishu... You told me not to come. Just think back to your own words, bacha. I did exactly what you asked me to. I know I was wrong... But you asked me to..." he began.
Then... he froze. His eyes widened. Tears spilled unchecked down Isha's cheeks. In an instant, she was dragged back to that horrifying day. Madan's hands... roaming over her shoulder.
"Father... He made you say all that... didn't he? But how?" Ranveer asked, his voice laced with panic.
The moment he saw those tears... he knew the truth was far more horrifying than he had imagined. She hadn't shed a single tear all these days. Now... she couldn't stop.
"Ishu... Tell me. What did he do?" Ranveer demanded.
Abhyansh remained silent. Every tear that escaped Isha's eyes seemed to tear Ranveer apart. Their bond... fascinated him.
"You killed your Ishu. She is dead."
The words struck Ranveer like a fatal blow. Before he could stop her... she turned and ran. He stood rooted to the spot. His sister had never spoken of death. She wanted to live a hundred years. She wanted to embrace every joy life had to offer. Not even in jest had she ever uttered such words. But today... she had.
And in that moment, Ranveer knew... something unimaginably terrible had happened to his little sister. As though every ounce of strength had deserted him, he walked to the chair opposite Abhyansh and lowered himself into it.
"Gather yourself, Rajput. Showing your vulnerable side before your rival isn't something a powerful man should do," Abhyansh said, looking at Ranveer's shattered state.
"She..." Ranveer's voice cracked. "She never said that word. She loves her life... She wants to live every moment of it. She said I killed her." He shut his eyes for a brief second, as though the words themselves were tearing him apart. "My Ishu is broken... I broke her..."
A lone tear escaped his eye. For the first time... Abhyansh Singh Ranawat saw his strongest rival crumble. But, he remained silent. Without a word, he reached for the whiskey bottle, poured himself a drink, and took an unhurried sip, his sharp gaze never leaving the broken man seated before him.
Suddenly... Ranveer snatched the bottle from the table and emptied its contents in a single gulp.
"I'll find out the truth..." he muttered, his words slurring under the alcohol. "I'll know the truth... at any cost."
He immediately dialed the number of one of his most trusted servants at the Rajput Palace. He questioned him about the day he had that final conversation with Isha.
The servant hesitantly revealed that from the very next morning, Isha had locked herself inside her room and cried for hours. She had looked completely devastated. That was when Ranveer's suspicion deepened.
Something had happened the previous night. During dinner. The same dinner where Kailash Rajput had ordered every servant to leave the dining hall... except Madan.
"And who was present at that dinner?" Ranveer asked, his tone dangerously calm.
"Hukum..." the servant answered nervously. "Only your mother and father... and Madan remained in the dining hall."
Ranveer disconnected the call. A vicious curse escaped his lips. He already knew... None of those three would willingly tell him the truth. But that only strengthened his resolve. He would uncover it. No matter what it took.
Without wasting another second, he dialed his mother's number. It was well past midnight. She didn't answer the first call.
"Careful there, Rajput." Abhyansh finally spoke. "You're drunk."
"I'll know the truth..." Ranveer muttered, barely listening. "I have to..."
He called again. This time... She answered.
"Veer, beta..." Sheela's sleepy voice came through the phone. "Where are you? You went to the Ranawats again?"
Her voice barely registered in his mind. The alcohol kept dragging his consciousness into darkness... but every time his eyelids threatened to close, His sister's broken, lifeless face flashed before him, forcing them open again.
"Mother..." Ranveer slurred.
"You're drunk?" Sheela's tone instantly hardened.
"Listen, Mother..." He took a shaky breath. "Shh... don't say anything. Just answer my question."
Abhyansh couldn't hear Sheela's voice from the other end. He simply shook his head, opened another file, and resumed his work.
"What do you want to know, Ranveer?" Sheela asked, her annoyance barely concealed.
Ranveer ignored it.
"What happened that night... At the dining table?"
The question made Sheela's heart skip a beat. She knew exactly which night he was talking about. Even so... she feigned ignorance.
"What are you talking about, Veer?" she asked as calmly as she could. "Which night?"
But Sheela forgot one thing. Her son might have been drunk... He was never a fool.
"Mother... the night Isha asked me not to come there or interfere with her wedding..." he slurred.
"Nothing happened..." Sheela tried to lie, but the nervousness creeping into her voice betrayed her.
"Mother..." Ranveer's tone hardened despite the alcohol in his system. "Don't even try to hide anything. I already know the truth... I just want to hear it from you."
It was a lie. He knew nothing. He was merely trying to force the truth out of her.
"Ranveer, don't believe that Isha. She always wanted to snatch you away from us. That's why she lied to you. Your father never did anything like that," Sheela, the most foolish of all the Rajputs, said.
Ranveer finally found something to hold on to. He decided to continue the act.
"Mother..." His voice softened deliberately. "That's exactly why I called you. I want to hear the whole truth from you. I still can't believe Father could do something like this... but then why would Ishu lie?" He paused, allowing the silence to weigh on her. "Tell me the truth, Mother. If you lie to me... I'll leave for London and never return. I'll never see your face again. You know I'm capable of doing it. I come to India only for you and Ishu. Now she's married... and if you're going to keep hiding things from me, I have no reason to stay."
The emotional blackmail worked. Sheela fell right into his trap.
"I knew that b**ch would try to take you away from us. Don't believe her, Ranveer. Where are you, beta? I want to see you..."
"Mother..." Ranveer interrupted, his patience wearing thin. "Tell me the truth... or I give you my word, I'll never see your face again." His voice carried the weight of an oath. "You know I'm a true Rajput. I never go back on my word."
He took a slow breath before delivering the final blow.
"And listen carefully... if I find out later that you lied to me... I'll donate every property I inherited to charity and leave for London forever. Along with your son... you'll lose your wealth too."
Silence stretched between them.
Finally...
"Ranveer, beta..." Sheela's voice trembled. "Your father never let Madan harass her. He only threatened that he would let Madan..."
Her voice faded. Even through the haze of alcohol, Ranveer felt his mind beginning to clear.
"He what, Mother?" he asked impatiently.
"He said he would let... Madan r*pe her... if she didn't convince you to..." Sheela whispered, shutting her eyes tightly.
"What?"
Ranveer roared, kicking the chair so hard that it toppled over with a loud crash.
Across the room, Abhyansh, who had been quietly working while half-listening to the conversation, finally lifted his gaze at Ranveer's furious outburst.
The moment she heard her son's voice... Sheela realized she had been tricked. His reaction told her everything. He hadn't known anything. Not a single thing.
"Mother..." Ranveer's voice turned frighteningly calm. "Out with it. The truth. Now."
It was the tone he used only on the rarest of occasions.
The tone that terrified even those closest to him. Sheela's courage crumbled. One by one... She confessed everything. Exactly as it had happened. When she finally finished recounting the entire incident, Ranveer hurled his phone across the room.
It shattered against the wall. Whatever remained of the alcohol-induced haze vanished instantly. He was furious. Furious at his father. Furious at Madan. But above all... Furious at himself.
Now he understood why his sister had looked so broken. How could he not have doubted her words? How could he have been such a fool?
The image of Madan standing near Isha that night flashed before his eyes. His fists clenched until his knuckles turned white. He wanted to rip the man apart with his bare hands.
"Ahhh..." Ranveer let out a deafening roar and flung the whiskey bottle against the wall. It exploded into countless shards of glass.
Abhyansh looked at Ranveer with his usual impassive expression, but inwardly, he wondered what could have provoked such uncontrollable fury in the man.
"I'll kill that b****rd!" Ranveer roared, his chest heaving. "How dare he do that to my sister?"
"Ranveer Rajput..." Abhyansh's cold voice sliced through the room. "Behave."
But Ranveer was beyond calming down. With another furious kick, he sent the chair crashing across the room.
"What happened?" Abhyansh asked.
Ranveer wanted to tell him. For a fleeting second... He almost did. But the thought vanished just as quickly. The man before him tortured his sister every single day. What if he used this truth against her too? Ranveer couldn't bring himself to trust Abhyansh Singh Ranawat.
Deep down, he knew Abhyansh would never violate a woman's honor, even if he refused to acknowledge Isha as his wife. Then again... He had also believed Abhyansh would at least respect his wife after marrying her. He had been wrong once. He wouldn't take that chance again. For now... The truth would remain with him.
"Nothing."
Ranveer shook his head, picked up his bag, and strode towards the door. Just as he reached it... He stopped.
"And don't torture my sister." His tone was low, but every word carried weight. "I won't be here for a few days."
He paused before adding,
"And since I know you're a busy man... I'm informing you in advance. You'll be required at the Rajput Palace tomorrow." His hand tightened around the strap of his bag. "Keep your schedule flexible."
Without waiting for a response... He walked away. Ranveer had already decided. His father and Madan would pay for everything they had done. And if anything happened to Kailash... Abhyansh and Isha would inevitably have to visit the Rajput Palace as the family's son-in-law and daughter.
Abhyansh leaned back in his chair, replaying Ranveer's side of the phone conversation. It didn't take much for him to piece things together. Kailash had done something unforgivable to Ranveer's sister. Something that had driven the otherwise composed man into a murderous rage. And judging by Ranveer's parting words...
He was heading straight for Kailash. Perhaps to kill him. But Abhyansh had no intention of letting Kailash die. Not yet. He immediately ordered his men to move Kailash Rajput to one of their safe houses, making sure Ranveer remained unaware of his involvement.
Meanwhile... The moment Sheela realized what her loose tongue had caused, she hurriedly informed Kailash about everything. Kailash's face drained of color. Without wasting another second, he arranged for Madan to flee.
He knew one thing with absolute certainty. If Ranveer got his hands on Madan... The man wouldn't survive. As for himself... Kailash wasn't worried. After all... He was Ranveer's father. Surely, his own son wouldn't harm him. What Kailash failed to realize... was that Ranveer Rajput's fury had crossed every boundary.
At that moment... He was capable of killing even his own father for what he had done to his sister. Before Ranveer could reach the Rajput Palace... Abhyansh's men, who were already stationed nearby, intercepted Kailash.
Without raising the slightest suspicion... They forcibly moved him to the safe house. And not a single soul noticed.
